There was exciting news earlier this week as The Griddle House starring Amber Benson was released on Region 1 DVD in the USA. If like me you're a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer too there’s even more reason to be excited as starring alongside Amber is her former Buffy co star Clare Kramer and fellow Buffyverse actor Charisma Carpenter. The Griddle House is actually the first opportunity Charisma and Amber have had to work together.
The film tells the story of Jack Benson (Alex Shaffer) who’s on a search for his birth mother believing her to be one of three women Tiny (Amber Benson), Mae-Bee (Charisma Carpenter), Francis (Clare Kramer) all of whom are connected to a diner known as The Griddle House.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting The Griddle House’s release since the film was first announced a few years ago. As is sometimes the case it can take some time for feature films to be completed and find a distributor. I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Amber, Clare and Charisma who were all guests at the Vampire Ball convention in London last December. Clare who was also one of the producers on The Griddle House was very hopeful of the film finally being released in 2018 and we are delighted that this is the case.

There is no news yet on whether the film will be released in Region 2 (UK format), if and when this changes I will let you know. Amazon.com will ship to the UK, this typically cost just a few dollars more although on some occasions extra customs charges can be levied.

I thought I'd added it to the Latest Amber News Section as well however as I was preparing to write this post I realised I hadn't, I apologise for my oversight. I apologise for not being able to post this sooner due to a combination of work and exam revision. I hope everyone who has seen it so far has enjoyed The Griddle House I can't wait for my DVD to arrive.
