There was some exciting news for fans earlier today as it was confirmed that Amber will play the role of Nightfall in ElfQuest: The Audio Movie.
ElfQuest was first released in 1978 as a comic book series created by Wendy and Richard Pini. Now for the first time in over 40 years they are planning to take ElfQuest from the page into an exciting new medium. Turning their creation into an exciting professionally produced audio movie and you can help be part of it via the crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
First things first, what is an audio movie? A professional and talented cast of actors will voice individual characters with sound effects and a professionally produced music score, which will offer fans a unique experience far beyond what's available on the page. It's an adaption of the first five comic books in this long-running series. Wendy Pini is adding new material and answering questions which will further expand the story beyond the original comic books.
ElfQuest tells the story of The Wolfriders a band of elves exiled from their home forest and forced into the desert. This brings them into a conflict with a rival elf tribe The Sun Folk which is when The Mother of Memory intervenes and sets both tribes on a new path, but can they work together?
Amber will join a talented cast including:
Alejandro Saab
Osric Chau
Cree Summer
Divinity Roxx
Pun Bandhu
Amber will play the role of Nightfall, here is her character summary from the official Kickstarter a page. “Trustworthy, brave and determined, Nightfall is defender of all she loves and believes in. She would have no fear of felling a longtooth with just a knife in her hand—but she would prefer to have her bow. A skilled huntress, she kills to provide and protect. While Nightfall embraces her rugged wolf-side, she is also an embodiment of feminine sensuality.”
As I said earlier ElfQuest: The Audio Movie is currently running a Kickstarter campaign where fans can help fund this unique project. The good news is this project is already successfully funded after having reached its target goal. However there is still time to join the Kickstarter the campaign with a range of rewards on offer. These include early access to ElfQuest: The Audio Movie downloadable copies, mini figures, badges, fine art prints and lots more.

I'm so excited that this project has already reached its funding goal. I think the character of Nightfall is perfect for Amber to play and I can't wait to hear her bring Nightfall to life using all of her extensive acting experience both on screen and in other audio projects and audiobooks.
