Wales Comic Con: “Photo Ops” With Amber Now Available

A few days ago came the exciting news that Amber will be a guest at Wales Comic Con. Their website has now confirmed that Amber is set to attend on both Saturday the 1st and Sunday 2nd of December.

Photo Ops with Amber are available to be purchased through ticket web via the Wales Comic Con website. The Photo Ops give fans the chance to have a professionally taken photograph with Amber. They are available on both Saturday and Sunday (click the hyperlinks for details) you can also click the “Buy Tickets” button on the Wales Comic Con website.

Please Note: according to Wales Comic Con website a Photo Ops ticket by itself will not get you access to the event. Any Photo Ops tickets also require a valid event ticket to enter. All advanced tickets for the event have now been sold but there will be some available to buy on the door on both Saturday and Sunday.

Amber is one of a number of Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars to be attending the event joining her will be:
Alyson Hannigan (Sunday Only)
Emma Caulfield
Mercedes McNab
Nicholas Brendon (Now Sunday Only)
Kristine Sutherlandhas now also been added to the lineup

Unfortunately Michelle Trachtenberg is no longer able to attend.

Apartment 407 Starring Amber Benson has been released on DVD & Blu-ray

Last month Amber shared her excitement via Twitter that Apartment 407 in which she plays a part of Chloe was released in cinemas in the LA area. Hot on the heels of this comes news that the movie is now available to buy on both DVD and Blu-ray.

The movie tells the story of Isobel a young woman abducted and forced into sex trafficking and her harrowing battle to survive. What makes this movie even more powerful is that it’s based on the real-life experiences of actor Frieda Farrell who plays Isobel, this is her true story.

If you're a regular visitor to AmberBenson.TV and this sounds familiar it's because back in 2014 I wrote a small update for the latest Amber news section about Selling Isobel the movie’s original title. It also included a link to an article from movievine.com and had some still photos from the movie, including one of Amber who plays the role of Chloe. I searched the internet but it wasn't until Amber's post that I heard more about the movie.

I have found listings for the DVD and Blu-ray versions on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com (click the hyperlinks). As far as I can tell however it is only available on Region 1 DVD and Blu-ray so you would need a compatible player. Anyone who has any information on other stockists please let us know. A big thank you to my friend and fellow Amber fan Katie for sending this information my way.

Amber To Be A Guest at Wales Comic Con In The UK Next Month

There was exciting news for UK Amber Benson fans yesterday evening when it was announced that Amber is to be a guest at the upcoming Wales Comic Con in December. It will be held on the 1st - 2nd of December at Glyndwr University, Wrexham, North Wales.

Amber is the latest addition to an exciting line-up of Buffy The Vampire Slayer cast members attending the event including:

Mercedes McNab
Michelle Trachtenberg
Nicholas Brendon
Emma Caulfield
Perhaps the most exciting news for fans of Willow and Tara is that Alyson Hannigan will also be a guest along with Amber as well.

Alexis Denisof was due to attend it was announced via social media that he has had to cancel due to ill-health. This news broke shortly before it was revealed that Amber would be attending this year.

Wales Comic Con announced Amber’s attendance just over six hours ago via their official Facebook and Twitter accounts. At the time of writing this Amber has not yet been added to the list of guests on the event’s website but from the information on social media it would appear she set to attend on both Saturday the 1st and Sunday 2nd of December.

The event is already proving to be very popular and Saturday is a complete sellout. However there are still general entry tickets available for Sunday. To find out more about the event and to buy tickets click the link below and hit the “Buy Tickets” button at the top of the page.

There are photo shoots available with guests but again at the time of writing this photo shoots with Amber have not yet been added to their official site. I will do my very best to update this article and our Twitter and Facebook pages with more information as and when it becomes available.

Sadly due to a combination of factors I won't be able to attend this year but I'm delighted that Amber is returning to the UK and my fellow Amber fans will get the chance to meet her. I hope everyone who is attending and Amber herself of course have an amazing time. As ever I will do my very best to keep people updated on any new information regarding the event e.g. Amber’s photo shoots, guest talks etc. as soon I get it.

Clueless: One Last Summer Graphic Novel Written By Amber Benson & Sarah Kuhn on Sale From The 28th of November

In February it was revealed that Amber had once again teamed up with writing partner Sarah Kuhn and artist Siobhan Keenan to create Clueless: One Last Summer graphic novel.

This is a sequel to Clueless: The Senior Year which Amber, Sarah and Siobhan created and was released in the summer of 2017. Clueless: Senior Year is the follow-up to Amy Heckerling’s hit 1995 movie Clueless starring Alicia Silverstone. Amber and Sarah’s all-new and original story gave fans of the movie the opportunity to follow the ups and downs of Cher, Dionne and Tai during their final year of high school. It was published by BOOM! Studios they will again publish Clueless: One Last Summer.

Clueless: One Last Summer will see Cher, Dionne and Tai reunite for one last big summer adventure before the three friends head to college. Friendships will be tested but publishers BOOM! promise readers fun and laughter too. On Friday Amber shared an article from pastemagazine.com which has an exclusive preview of the graphic novel. Thanks to big friend of the site Katie for giving us a heads up about this interview.

According to the information we currently have Clueless: One Last Summer is available to buy in selected comic stores and online digitally direct from BOOM! Studios on the 28thof November. It will then be released more widely in bookstores a few days later on the 4th of December. I have checked with my local, comic bookstore and they have confirmed this is the information that they have been given too. As always we will do our very best to keep you up-to-date and if we have any more information about the release date we will let you know.

Amber To Attend Slay The Vampires Again Convention In Paris on Saturday the 3rd of November

Amber delivered a late Halloween treat for her fans confirming she is heading to Paris this Saturday the 3rd of November. Amber will be a guest at Clouds Con’s Slay The Vampires Again Buffy convention in the French capital. Amber shared her excitement with fans via her official Twitter account. Amber will be joined by fellow Buffy cast members Kristine Sutherland who played Joyce Summers and Larry Bagby who regularly featured as a guest star throughout seasons 2 and 3 playing the role of Larry Blaisdell. Alongside this trio of on-screen acting talent is former Buffy costume designer Matt Van Dyne who will also be meeting fans.

The event is being held at Evergreen Laurel Hotel Levallois-Perret France, unlike most of the US and UK conventions I've come across this is only being held for one-day rather than the full weekend.

It looks as though the event is completely sold out. I apologise for not posting about this sooner, A big friend of the site and fellow Amber fan Katie gave me a heads up a while back. My plan had been to wait until nearer the convention to see if I could gather some more information before posting but I’ve had a stressful couple of months and it slipped my mind. Even though it's late in the day I still thought it was worth posting about for informational purposes and in case fans hadn't seen Amber's video.

I hope everyone who is attending has a fantastic time and Amber has a safe and enjoyable time in the legendary city of lights.
