Amber is hard at work on a duet not of the musical variety though she's set to expand her ever-growing body of work as an author by co-writing a brand-new short story. Amber indicated via social media her work would feature in an exciting new collection of short stories along with other top supernatural and horror fiction writers entitled Dark Duets.
Not many details have been released so far but here is what we do know. Dark Duets is being edited by Christopher Golden Amber's long-time writing partner. As the title of the book suggests each of the stories featured is a collaboration and what makes it unique is that none of the authors teaming up have written together before.
Amber will be working with Jeffrey J. Mariotte (also he writes under the name of Jeff Mariotte) and their story is titled AMUSE-BOUCHE no other details about the story of been released as yet.
For those of you unfamiliar with Jeffrey's work he has written a number of novels and comic books. Like Amber he is no stranger to the Buffy verse having written a number of tie-in novels and guidebooks for both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel. He's also written a series of Angel comic books as well as books for a number of other popular TV and film franchises including: Star Trek, CSI, Charmed and many more.
Jeffrey has also written a number of original novels/graphic novels including: Season of the Wolf, The Devil’s Bait and many more.
Dark Duets features a number of other exciting first time writing partnerships including Charlene Harris author of the True Blood series working with Rachel Caine author of the Morganville Vampires series on a story entitled DARK WITNESS.
