Today Blood Kiss has launched a brand new website offering fans and backers even more than ever before. www.bloodkissmovie.com

As you might expect you can learn all about Michael Reeves’ Blood Kiss and the fantastic creative team behind it including Amber of course and the history of this unique project. The team has provided a full range of multimedia content including interviews with Michael Reeves and the Blood Kiss cast and crew, concept artwork and even a sneak peek at the soundtrack courtesy of composer David Raiklen. There's also the opportunity to see what the world's media are saying about Blood Kiss.

As you can see there is plenty on offer… But wait in all my excitement about sharing th site I forgot that there will be some of you out there hearing about Blood Kiss for the first time so let me take this opportunity to tell you all you need to know.

It is an ambitious project, comprising both a feature film and a graphic novel which are being produced simultaneously. Set in 1940s Hollywood a serial killer is hunting down vampires, and Detective Joe Belicek is hot on their trail.

This dark and original tale is penned by Michael Reeves, an Emmy award-winning writer and producer who has worked on shows such as Star Trek the Next Generation, The Twilight Zone, and animated shows like Batman and Transformers to name but a few.

As every Amber Benson fan knows she is a woman of many talents. One we sadly don't have enough opportunity to sample, is her beautiful singing voice which was showcased in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More with Feeling (a.k.a. the musical episode). Since then, there have been precious few opportunities for fans to hear her sing. Luckily for us, “Blood Kiss” is set to change that. Amber will be playing the role of Ruby Day; a torch singer at her favorite night spot, Club Indigo. Starring alongside Amber, and making his acting debut is Neil Gaiman (who, for the first time will NOT be playing Neil Gaiman) writer of the movie Stardust and author of The Sandman Series among numerous other books and graphics novels. Yes it's THAT Neil Gaiman!

Artist and comic book illustrator Tom Mandrake has been given the task of bringing The Blood Kiss graphic novel to life, so we have a fantastic multilayered project with a group of extremely talented people. There was only one problem despite Michael's outstanding pedigree as a writer and producer, as well as having a unique idea and some very talented people willing to be involved yet studios were s reluctant to get involved.

Michael despite living with the day-to-day effect of Parkinson's disease believed in Blood Kiss so strongly he turned to kickstarter and asked people who were keen to see this original idea bought to life to get behind the project and donate and respond they duly did. The campaign began with the aim of raising $50,000 to begin production such was the enthusiasm of fans from around the world this initial target was obliterated and by the time the campaign came to a close it had raised a grand total of $88,321.

This fantastic new website marks an exciting new stage in the development of Blood Kiss. Not only did the Blood Kiss team want you to enjoy it they also want your honest feedback and of course to spread the word about Blood Kiss anywhere you can. Michael and everyone involved in Blood Kiss have been quick to thank the backers of the Kickstarter campaign and a full list of all people who helped make Blood Kiss a reality is a key feature of the site.

Blood Kiss at San Diego Comic Con 2013

If you or someone you know is making the trip to San Diego Comic Con this year you may have the chance to meet Amber Benson along with other members of the Blood Kiss team.

Amber is set to attend a Blood Kiss autograph signing session along with Blood Kiss creator Michael Reeves its producer Daniela Di Mase and co-producer Leah Cevoli along with composer David Raiklen.

The signing is due to take place between 4 PM - 5 PM on Friday, 19 July at booth 3919 Geekscape.

The Blood Kiss team are encouraging fans who are attending the signing to arrive a few minutes early to help with the queues and those fans who enjoy cosplay to dress as vampires or with a 1940s look.

I hope those fans attending and the Blood Kiss team have a fantastic time.

   I just wanted to take this opportunity to give you all an update on Blood Kiss, which of course stars
Amber Benson! The Kickstarter campaign (as featured in the blog post above) to fund the project,
ended on Friday, June 14, 2013, smashing through its initial target of $50,000 to raise a
fantastic $88,321.

   If you haven't heard about Blood Kiss yet here is a quick recap:

   Blood Kiss is an original film by Emmy award-winning writer and producer Michael Reaves is a film
Noir thriller with a supernatural twist. A serial killer is hunting down vampires, and Detective Joe
