‘I Saw The TV Glow’ premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and then had a limited number of preview screenings in the USA before a nationwide release on May 17, 2024.
Last month, ‘I Saw The TV Glow’ made its UK debut in London, where it was given four preview screenings. Now, the website Digitalspy.com has revealed that ‘I Saw The TV Glow’ will be released nationwide across the UK and the Republic of Ireland on Friday, July 26th, 2024.
‘I Saw The TV Glow’ centres on Owen (Justice Smith) and Maddy (Brigette Lundy-Paine); two teenagers trying to navigate their way through life and high school. Owen and Maddie bond over a shared interest in a supernatural TV show. When the TV show is cancelled, Owen’s reality begins to blur with the fictional world in which the show is set.

It was back in 2022 that Amber revealed she had joined the cast of ‘I Saw The TV Glow’. This is the first time Amber has appeared in an on-screen role since she starred as Professor Samantha Rand in 2019's The Nightmare Gallery.
As many fans will know, in recent years, Amber has transitioned from acting to writing, including the Calliope-Reaper Jones series and the Echo Park Coven Series of novels. Following the completion of these successful series Amber has since written a number of both fiction and non-fiction film projects for television.
I was lucky enough to meet Amber again at a Convention in the UK in 2022. During a Q&A session with fans, I asked Amber if she could share more about ‘I Saw The TV Glow’. She said, "If you like genre shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural, you will love this film." A big thank you to Amber for being kind enough to answer my question!
The trailer is an intriguing watch and I can see why the project was interesting enough to tempt Amber back into an on-screen role. Sadly, Amber doesn't appear in this particular trailer but if and when new versions are released or we get any official photos of her in the film I will share them here. According to IMDb.com Amber will be playing the role of “Johnny Link's Mom.”
I'm pleased that more fans will now get a chance to see Amber's return to an on-screen role.
A big thank you to Samantha for letting me know about this exciting news.
