Amber Donates A Signed Copy Of The Witches Of Echo Park To Support A Charity Auction

Amber is lending her support to Broadway Cares/Equality Fights AIDS which a not-for-profit organisation that helps people across the USA living with aids and HIV. Ahead of the Broadway Bares show taking place next month at Hammerstein Ballroom New York City the dancers involved as well as supporters of the charity are raising money through an online charity auction hosted by eBay.

Amber has very kindly donated a signed copy of her novel the Witches of Echo Park, the first book in her Echo Park Coven trilogy. At the time of writing this auction has just under two days left to run and is open to bidders around the world higher postage costs will apply outside the USA. The most important thing to mention is that every penny from the final auction price will go to help Equality Fights AIDS and the important work they are doing.

Amber To Attend A Book Signing At Whedoncon 2018 This Saturday

A few days ago it was confirmed that Amber is set to attend a book signing at WhedonCon 2018 held in Los Angeles this weekend. I'm sure the name of Dark Delicacies Bookstore will be familiar to many Amber fans as she has attended many signings and events at their store in Burbank over the last few years. Amber will again be a guest of Dark Delicacies, this time at their booth in the vendor hall that will be part of the WhedonCon 2018 event.

Amber will be signing books at Dark Delicacies Booth from 12 PM to 3 PM PST on Saturday, 19th of May. WhedonCon confirmed to us via Twitter that Amber will not be attending any panels or events this year as she is a guest of Dark Delicacies.

I've had many dealings with Dark Delicacies over the years and their staff have always been friendly and helpful and as we know there's only one thing better than an Amber Benson book and that's a signed Amber Benson book. If you haven't had the chance to meet Amber and can get there do it I guarantee you'll have fun Amber is terrific.

Amber Is The Special Guest On Drinking During Business Hours Podcast

Amber was the special guest on the latest episode of Drinking During Business Hours podcast released yesterday. It is hosted by stand-up comedian Sarah J Halstead and in each episode she talks to a different creative person about their passions and what led them to do the work that they love.

Amber talks about growing up in Alabama, being bitten by the acting bug and some of her most memorable roles. Playing Ella McShane in Steven Soderbergh's classic film King of the Hill and her role as Tara Maclay on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They discuss Amber's transition from acting to writing, being an author along with her work as a producer and director. This is a must listen for any Amber fan, she discusses her career and her experiences working as an actor. Amber is honest, engaging and very funny and even gives us a sneak peak of an upcoming project in this brilliant podcast. I only wish it had been longer.

Amber Is The Special Guest On The Drunk Monk Podcast

Amber recently joined hosts Keiko Agena star of Gilmore Girls and Will Choi as their special guest on The Drunk Monk Podcast. In each podcast Keiko and Will focus on a different episode of the long-running television series Monk with a drink or two on hand of course.

Monk centers on Adrian Monk played by award-winning actor Tony Shalhoub he plays a former San Francisco police detective. Monk quits the SFPD after he develops obsessive-compulsive disorder following a trauma and now works as an unconventional PI.

In this episode of the podcast along with their special guest Amber, Keiko and Will discuss "Mr Monk Stays In Bed" what they liked, disliked and plot holes etc. They also talked about Amber's Echo Park Coven Series of novels, fights with her sister and more. The good news is you don't have to be a fan of Monk to enjoy this podcast as it was an entertaining listen.

Amber To Be Part Of The Heroine Complex Tour This July

To celebrate the launch of her upcoming book Heroine Complex Amber's good friend Sarah Khun is going on tour and Amber will be joining her. If that weren't exciting enough the pair will be joined by their good friend and fellow urban fantasy writer Seanan McGuire. The author of the October Daye Series and the InCryptid series. Not only are these ladies all very talented authors they all have a passion for urban fantasy and have strong female heroines at the heart of their work.

The tour begins on 5 July 2016 at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore in San Diego at 7:30 PM

On 6 July 2016 they will be at Skylight Books in Los Angeles at 7:30 PM

On 9 July 2016 they will be at Borderland Books in San Francisco at 6 PM

On 12 July 2016 they will be at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing, Beaverton at 7 PM

Offering fans the chance to get their hands on signed novels including: Sarah’s Heroine Complex, Amber’s Echo Park Coven Series and Calliope Reaper-Jones Series as well as Seanan’s October Daye Series and InCryptid series.

Sarah has promised few surprises well and that there may be other events announced as part of the tour in the future.

If like me you are unable to attend any of the events some venues may be prepared to post you a signed copy. I know from experience of Amber's tour that Mysterious Galaxy has provided this service in the past. Like many fans I can't wait for the release of Amber's upcoming novel The Last Dream Keeper, which arrives in book stores on the 5th of January 2016. The Last Dream Keeper is the 2nd novel in Amber's Echo Park Coven Series and the follow up to the brilliant The Witches of Echo Park.

Amber Is The Special Guest On Episode 2 Of Three Guys With Beards Podcast

Recently Amber joined Christopher Golden, James A Moore and Jonathan Maberry as their special guest on episode two of three guys with beards.

Three very talented authors all of whom have impressive bodies of work and between them have written countless novels, novelisations, videogames, television and web series too. These three acclaimed authors and friends have started a brand-new regular podcast in which they discuss writing and yes as the title suggests they all have beards.

In this episode along with guest Amber they discuss her brand-new urban fantasy series The Witches Of Echo Park. The first novel in the series is available in paperback, e-reader format and audiobook narrated by Amber herself which are all out now. Amber announced yesterday via her official social media accounts that she is in Las Vegas to attend The Novel Experience Event.

The Novel Experience Event is an author signing session were authors from traditional publishing routes, indie publishing companies and those who self publish to meet their fans, read and discuss their work.

Amber will be discussing her latest novel The Witches Of Echo Park the first book of her brand-new urban fantasy series.

The Novel Experience Event is being held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino between 3rd of April – 5th of April 2015.
